Rebecca A. Morgan, President of Fulcrum ConsultingWorks Inc., is an Operations Strategy consultant skilled at simplifying complex ideas, finding creative solutions to problems, and developing and leveraging operational strengths. She provides strategic thinking based on practical experience to enhance the competitive position of manufacturers. Typically considered an execution arm of the company, Operations – with the right strategic analysis and planning – will leverage resources to profitably deliver competitive advantage to target markets.
In short, her Finish Strong™ thinking positions companies both large and small to deliver their brand promise.
Highly respected business journals INC Magazine and American City Business Journals have chosen Morgan as their Operations Expert columnist. In addition, her expertise is regularly tapped by other business and industry publications, including Fortune Magazine, Business Week, Dow-Jones Newswires, and Industry Week.
Morgan was a key leader at Perdue Foods (yes, the chicken company!), Cleveland Trust (a bank since absorbed into Key Bank), Stouffer Foods (think Macaroni and Cheese), TRW and Precision CastParts (high tech jet engine parts for both) for a total of 14 years before founding her Operations Consulting business in 1990. In the 23+ years since, she has helped clients that include widely recognized names like Avery-Dennison, VitaMix and Moen, and numerous niche manufacturers like Hunter Defense Technologies, Lashbrook Designs, and Kinetico.
She is Board Approved in Operations Management by the Society for Advancement of Consulting and is certified as Fellow by The Association for Operations Management (APICS).
Totally committed to lifelong learning, she contributes generously of her time to professional and educational organizations. Currently she has leadership responsibilities with The Association for Operations Management (APICS), the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) and the AME Institute. She also served as the Chair of the Entrepreneurs Association in Cleveland, OH.
Morgan graduated with honors from Wichita State University with a BS in Economics, and graduated from Oklahoma State University with an MS Economics and a 4.0 GPA. She also completed post graduate work at the Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management.
Sadly, she is a fan of Cleveland professional sports, having season tickets for the Browns (NFL) and the Cavaliers (NBA). Maybe they too, someday, will seek her help in improving their operations!
